Courtney Gum

Courtney is a physiotherapist with special interests in sports related injuries such as AFL, netball and running.
She has been a physiotherapist since 2003 and founded Kinetic Balance in 2015.
Courtney has been involved as a physiotherapist with a wide variety of local netball and AFL clubs, including the South Adelaide SANFLW team.
Courtney has a special interest in lower limb, knee, foot and ankle injuries as well as running injuries.
Courtney played for the Adelaide Crows AFLW team. Prior to this she played for the GWS Giants and was awarded the AFLPA MVP in the 2018 season.
Courtney has a partner and 5 year old son.

Alex Shaw
Physiotherapist

Alex has experience working with sporting teams as he has been working as the head physiotherapist for the South Adelaide U16’s, U18’s boy’s teams as well as the South Adelaide Women’s football team for the past 3 seasons.
He also volunteers his time working with alongside many local netball and football clubs to educate players on injury management as well as aiding them in their rehabilitation.
Away from the clinic Alex is a keen athlete that continues to play football for his local A Grade side. However, he does enjoy some quiet time at home. This often involves relaxing with a movie or a video game.

Emma Swift
Physiotherapist

Emma enjoys working with her clients to achieve the best possible results, striving for an efficient recovery and preventing re-injury. Her focus is on empowering those she treats through education and exercise while offering a holistic approach. When Emma is not at work her interests are running, triathlon/ duathlon and she likes to unwind with Stand Up Paddle boarding. She has previously played competitive Netball, Basketball, Soccer and Softball, and has trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop and Latin dancing.

Trent Larwood
Exercise Scientist
Although recently graduated Trent has been lucky enough to have various experiences throughout his study including a strength and conditioning internship with the South Adelaide Football Clubs senior men’s team, running a high-performance program for the South Adelaide Football Clubs development squad and various university placements working with ageing and healthy populations.
As well as working at the clinic Trent has recently taken of the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach for South Adelaide’s SANFLW team where he oversees gym programs, GPS analysis and conditioning programs. Trent will also be taking on a teaching role at Flinders University this year teaching 2nd and 3rd year exercise students.
Trent is a big believer in the use of exercise to promote a healthy lifestyle, improve sporting performance, delay the onset of ageing and improve overall quality of life.
Outside of the clinic Trent is a keen footballer who currently plays for the Westminster Old Scholars Football Club. As well as football Trent is a huge dog lover and enjoys walking his German Shepherd “Boston”. Christopher Bennet
Massage Therapist
Chris has been a remedial massage therapist since 2006 before that he worked as a farmer in Booleroo Centre situated 280 kms north of Adelaide!
Chris utilises massage to help people manage their health and wellbeing. He provides a combination of deep tissue massage and remedial massage.
Massage can help release tight muscles improve ROM and help relax the body!
Chris has a big involvement in AFLW. He has been involved with South Adelaide Sanflw since 2018 in various coaching roles.
He is also currently the head coach of the Happy Valley Women’s A grade team.
